On the way to Everest, we stopped to check out a Fort. They repelled the British twice before succumbing the third time. This is where everyone jumped off. It was tempting.

This is MeiLi XueShan. We only were here for 24 hours!

We hiked down to the river in the gorge. 1000m down, 1000m up. Thankfully we could take the dangerous ladders on the way up! It was sketchy.

This is what happens when you ask a Chinese man to take a picture. Amazingly enough this is the best of 6 pics! 

Lijiang

This is the postcard picture from Black Dragon Pool Park of Yu Long Xue Shan. You can kinda see the mountain. Again the mountain is hiding. Though we waited for an hour.  

The Three Pagoda's (well you can see two of them). We tried everyday to get in here and we always came when it was closed. This is the closest we got to them. 

Andrea! Be Careful! dont step off the edge! 

Dali

Ahhh... Dali a 14 hour train ride. We were very lucky to have clouds always hanging on the mountains. You can see a little of the city wall. Everyone in town asked if we "smoked the ganja!" 

On top of the mountian,Xi Shan, outside of Kunming. We took a city bus for Y1 and rode for like 45 minutes, then we hiked. Andrea's favorite activity.  

Stone Forrest in Kunming. Guide book said admission Y80, true life Y140! And we couldnt play frisbee. Grass is to be seen and not touched. 

Kunming to Lhasa

This is at a temple in Kunming. If I remember correctly Andrea body slams me immediately after the picture. In this pond there were coy, turtles, and giant frogs.
