Just outside our hostel in Yangshuo. This is all we packed for 8 days! I am carrying Andrea's bag. She is holding a picture that we almost lost a couple of times, but now we have a prized piece of art in our home.
After spending the afternoon in some natural hot springs we hiked up the river. Eventually we found a place to jump off a railing into the river. Guess who went first?
We hiked about 1.5 hours from the village for lunch and got on top of some mountains, we actually sat for 45 minutes and did not see anyone. This is the first and only time this has happened in China.
These are the rice terraces in Ping An. The locals carved them out of the side of the mountians. We stayed in a small village like the one seen. Andrea is thirsty, but she has guns and a nice hat!
This is a view from Moon Hill in Yangshuo. You can see how the mountains look, they are called Karst Towers. Each of them are individuals, not conected. You can see the little towns.
We rode our bikes all morning and then hopped on one of these bamboo rafts to take us back. The river is low and you have to take the leap down the dam. Andrea actually fell in without me pushing her!
